430MHz Band Planning Meeting - Agenda

Saturday August 15, 1995

NO ONE ORGANIZATION HAS THE AUTHORITY TO UNILATERALLY GENERATE A BAND PLAN OR CHANGES TO A BAND PLAN. THE FUNDAMENTAL PROCESS OF BAND PLANNING REQUIRES THE UNANIMOUS AGREEMENT OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE AFFECTED TYPES OF OPERATIONS.  IT IS THROUGH THESE REPRESENTATIVES THAT THE PLAN IS SUPPORTED BY ALL THE “MODE” USERS.  THIS AGREEMENT THEN IS PRESENTED TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH BULLETINS AND NEWSLETTERS AS THE BAND PLAN.

  1. REVIEW CHANGES TO FCC RULES PROMOTED BY THE PACKET COMMUNITY

  2. REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS AND HOW THEY OCCURRED

  3. DISCUSSION OF TECHNICAL PARAMETERS OF CONCERN TO EACH MODE REPRESENTATIVE

  4. DISCUSSION OF ANY PARAMETERS NEEDING TO BE ADDED OR CHANGED IN COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS

  5. DECIDE ON BEST WORDING TO EXPRESS THE NEEDED LIMITATIONS

  6. SKETCH OUT THE “FINAL” PLAN - AND SIGNIFY UNANIMOUS AGREEMENT
